ATT Trainee Tax Assistant

£20,000 (plus training) - Starting Salary

We currently have vacancy for a self-motivated and confident trainee tax assistant to join our growing team, studying for the ATT qualification. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the tax team to ensure the efficient and compliant delivery of personal and corporate tax services to our clients.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Provide support to the tax team across a portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients
- Assist in the preparation and submission of tax returns (personal, partnership and corporate)
- Assist in the preparation of sole trader and partnership accounts for inclusion on tax returns
- Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients, including submitting forms
- Manage tax filing deadlines to ensure submissions to HMRC are made accurately and on time
- Maintain and update client records on the firms systems
- Assist client managers with other accounting work during quieter periods

- Minimum grade 4 or above in GCSE Maths and English, and 96 UCAS points or equivalent
- Excellent IT skills, specifically in Excel
- Good attention to detail
- Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
- Excellent team working skills and able to use own initiative
- Relevant work experience is preferable but not essential
- Full clean driving licence is preferable but not essential
